Yesterday and today, the temperature in Washington DC nearly reached 80 degrees. In February.

And for two days I've heard people in person and on the radio gush ecstatically over the weather.


Dear idiots,

80 degrees in February is not normal.  80 degrees in February is a sign that things are very, very bad.

Yes, it's a nice day. We have quite a lot of them in April and May and the fall months. But being excited about it being 80 degrees in February is kinda like getting excited because you're cold in bed but the house fire is warming up your toes.

Our house is on fire. Stop being excited about it.
