This week, a very special episode

Often at each other's throats, the Democrats and Republicans are natural enemies, continually struggling to control the course of the United States. But the current Scooter Libby brouhaha has changed all that, bringing Democrats and Republicans together . . . in hypocrisy!

First up, former President and former Mrs. President Clinton. They have condemned the commutation of Libby's sentence despite their own flurry of last minute pardons as they left office, including a pardon of scumbag, and huge contributor to the Democratic party, Marc Rich. Hypocrites.

Second, there's the White House and those Republicans who support the commutation, while condemning the Clintons for similar behavior. They impeached Bill Clinton for a less serious crime, but applaud Scooter Libby's complete avoidance of prison. Hypocrites.

And finally, there's the Decider. The Commander Guy.

"And if there is a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is. And if the person has violated law, the person will be taken care of. ... I don't know of anybody in my administration who leaked classified information. If somebody did leak classified information, I'd like to know it, and we'll take the appropriate action." President Bush, September 30, 2003.

Apparently "appropriate action" means commuting the sentence of the one guy in the matter convicted by a jury of obstruction of justice and lying to the FBI.

Huge hypocrite.
