Doesn't Myanmar sound like some sort of technology, like fiber optic cable? Maybe the rulers changed the name of the country thinking it would attract high-tech industry. It's easier than actually opening up the country. These rulers (and Hugo Chavez)remind me of the dictator in "Bananas" that issued a dictate that his subjects change their underwear every half hour and wear it on the outside so the officials could check.
