They say that Vice Presidential debates don't matter. That people vote for the President, not the running mate.
I believe that this time it's different. If Palin crashes and burns, the McCain campaign goes down in flames. There are already too many questions about his judgment. Failing to pick even a qualified running mate will be fatal. If Palin does well, though, it could swing some voters on the fence back into the McCain camp.
I still hold that Obama will win big. But tonight's debate is a key moment in Presidential history.
It should be an interesting night.
