Wheeeeeeee!

We've had Verizon FIOS (fiber optic) for Internet service for two years and have been very happy with it. A few weeks ago someone told me that Verizon had updated their minimum speed of 5 mb/s to 10 mb/s and that all you had to do is call them to upgrade your service.

So I called them yesterday and found out that not only would they upgrade me (for a year extension on our contract, big deal), but that because of the combo Internet/phone deal we have, they'd upgrade us to 20 mb/s and we'd pay about $5 per month LESS for the package.

Woo hoo!

I just ran a speed test. Here are the results.

Edited because of Mr. Haas' exacting standards.

mb/ps - What is that? Millibits per picosecond? A millibit per picosecond would be equivalent to a gigabyte per second. That would be one hell of a connection!
