Pope Benedict XVI had surgery on his right wrist Friday after he broke it in a fall, the Vatican said.

Really, if the frigging POPE isn't protected from falling and breaking his wrist, why are the rest of you chumps going on about divine protection? Clearly, no one's minding the store.

Doctors administered local anesthesia and put the pope's wrist in a cast, Lombardi said, adding the procedure was minor.

And so much for faith healing.
