It's now been about four months since I've had a day off (not counting weekends or holidays, of course). I haven't taken any days just to hang out or do something fun. It's pretty much been work, work, work. I am pretty burned out at this point,.
In less than two weeks I'll have the week off after Christmas. Huzzah. Of course, that raises its own stresses as we're visiting family the entire time.
I think maybe I'll take off a couple of days at the end of that just for me.
Anyway, that's why my blogging output has been so sporadic.

Whaddaya mean, “not counting weekends or holidays, of course”? That’s like saying, “I haven’t eaten in three days, not counting breakfast, lunch, and dinner, of course.”
You must be an awesome employee not to need any of your vacation days to recharge!
Weekends and holidays are great, but after several months, two days off in a row is not enough time to really recharge.
I’m not picking on you for needing a vacation… I’m picking on you for the way you said it. Saying that it’s been four months since you’ve had a day off makes it sound like you’ve been working 120 days straight.
I didn't say I hadn't had a day off! I specifically said, "except for weekends and holidays,"! :-)
Now I'm even more tired.
