Health Care Summit

Note to Sen. Lamar Alexander:

One, the “public” doesn’t want Congress to “start over” on health care reform.  Get the damn thing done!

Two, it’s been an entire year.  You can hardly call that “jamming” the legislation  through.

Dumbass.

We both like Lincoln. Why not post this quote of his on your blog:

"Never stir up litigation. A worse man can scarcely be found than one who does this."

I have a different view of tort reform than you do. See www.MDWhistleblower.blogspot.com under Legal Quality

I looked. I don't think our views are particularly different. I'm not a big fan of litigation either.

What I was expressing (in the other post on the summit) was that tort reform is only a small economic piece of the current healthcare situation and NOT the end-all to reform as the Republicans have been claiming. (On a side-note, if it's so important to them, why didn't they pass it from 2000-2006?)

The President agreed with the Repubs that tort reform would save money, but opined that there are much bigger problems that need to be resolved first. I agree with that.

The Republican Congress? I didn't remember that. Interesting, especially in light of their current emphasis on its importance.

No, it was the Dems who opposed. As we are learning, the minority can obstruct.
