Sprots [sic]

I'm not much of a sports fan.
Recently I gave some thought to becoming a hockey fan.
But then I realized that the local team is the Washington Capitals.

You're kind of missing the point of being the fan of a team - you have to have the same dedication when they're hoisting the trophy as when they're setting records for losing.

Common vernacular says that when you only root for a team when they're winning is called being a "fair weather fan". Us true fans call that being a spectator.

Hockey? I thought you were thinking about getting interested in a sport?
