Day one of the news blackout is going fine so far.
I commuted without checking the news sites on my Blackberry and boarded the Metro without taking the free Express newspaper. I considered taking the free Washington Examiner, since there’s no reality-based news in it (oh, snap!), but don’t want to raise my blood pressure.
So far so good at work. I did find myself almost reading the CNN.com page in an unguarded moment as I reflexively opened the browser and clicked the bookmark, but closed it when I realized what I was doing.
I predict that in a week this is going to start getting weird.
