Republicans ALWAYS speak for the American people

When President Obama and the Democrats won big in 2008, the Republicans took it upon themselves to do everything they could to stop any and all Democratic legislation.  When the Republicans took back the House in 2010, however, suddenly "elections matter" and they claimed the sole right to "speak for the American people".  (Of course, they also said they spoke for the American people in 2009 when they fought Health Care.)

So, do they speak for the American people today with their mindless and destructive "no taxes ever" mantra?

Apparently not.
