And that's what we had here. No one was happy with it. But it was the right thing for the American people.I think that's perfectly fair. I mean, the Democrats are unhappy because they didn't get to raise revenue by increasing taxes on the richest Americans in order to keep important social programs that people need in these troubled times.
And the Republicans are unhappy because they didn't get to burn the entire country down.
See? Everyone's unhappy. It's all precisely equal.
