Another cool corner discovered!

One thing that's great about the Internet is that there are all sorts of pockets of cool stuff that you can stumble on, even years after they first premiered.  There's a risk in sharing them, of course, because you look like the chump that missed the party when it was actually hot.

Well, this time I'm the chump because I just found this site and I'm recommending it here.  [Thanks to AHTitan for sending me the link]

DM of the Rings

Here's the description of the comic:
Lord of the Rings is more or less the foundation of modern D&D [Dungeons & Dragons]. The latter rose from the former, although the two are now so estranged that to reunite them would be an act of savage madness. Imagine a gaggle of modern hack-n-slash roleplayers who had somehow never been exposed to the original Tolkien mythos, and then imagine taking those players and trying to introduce them to Tolkien via a D&D campaign.
This thing is made completely of awesome.  It's funny as a parody of Lord of the Rings.  It's funny as a parody of D&D.  And it showcases many true, hilarious human situations that I'm sure all RPGers have encountered.

Important note:  There's a point in Moria when the links seem to go off the rails.  Just keep going and you'll get back into the storyline.

If you go to my blog and scroll down to the bottom, you'll find a list of links to online comics I follow. You should check them out, especially "Ape, not monkey" and "Jesus and Mo".
