A disturbing similarity

This morning when I turned on the radio, they were in the middle of a news report involving riot police clubbing protestors and then moving in and destroying a tent city the protestors had erected. I was thinking about Oakland or Portland or the University of California. Turns out that the story was about Egypt, where Americans unreservedly support the protestors. That I could think they were talking about events in the United States, and that many Americans have characterized our own Occupy protestors as un-American, is alarming.
