Thought for the day
If prayer worked . . .
It would be empirically demonstrable that those who prayed were healthier, happier, and more secure than those who don't pray.
And if one religion were the true religion . . .
It would be empirically demonstrable that those who prayed under that religion were healthier, happier, and more secure than those who don't pray to that religion.
And since it would be empirically demonstrable that particular prayer worked, all people would quickly notice this and flock to that religion.
But there are thousands of religions and the people of no one religion are empirically demonstrably healthier, happier and more secure than the people of any other religion or even no religion.
Draw your own conclusion.
