State of the Union

CNN's headline is "Stakes High for Obama Speech".

What a load.  Given that the Republicans in Congress won't do ANYTHING that might give the President a victory, especially in this election year, the stakes couldn't be lower.  Nothing the President proposes has a chance of passing.  He's basically speaking to the American people in hopes that they'll get the message that at least he'd like to help.
