Texas Megachurch pastor and former Rick Perry supporter Robert Jeffress predicted on the Sunday before Election Day that President Obama’s re-election “would lead to the reign of the Antichrist” in the United States:
“I want you to hear me tonight, I am not saying that President Obama is the Antichrist, I am not saying that at all. One reason I know he’s not the Antichrist is the Antichrist is going to have much higher poll numbers when he comes,” said Jeffress.
“President Obama is not the Antichrist. But what I am saying is this: the course he is choosing to lead our nation is paving the way for the future reign of the Antichrist.”
Jeffress added that “it is time for Christians to stand up and to push back against this evil that is overtaking our nation” and to do so via “the ballot box.”Why would Christians be pushing back against this? Isn't the whole "end of days" storyline ordained? Don't they want the Antichrist to arise so Jesus can return and they can watch all us nonbelievers, gays, Jews, Muslims, etc. burn for all eternity? Isn't that a day they're looking forward to?
I note with some amusement the little dig at President Obama's poll numbers. These guys can't even compare the President to the Antichrist without being a little douchy about it.

Not to mention Romans 13:1-7, which says all earthly authorities are instituted by God. So, Obama winning the election must have been God’s plan all along.
