A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, Reverent, and a huge BIGOT.

To pretty much everyone’s surprise, this week the Boy Scouts announced that they were reconsidering their age-old ban against Teh Gays, both as Scoutmasters and Scouts, which they had reaffirmed just a few months ago. Sadly, they chickened out of joining the 20th century and postponed their decision until May. So for now, the Boy Scouts still hate you if you’re gay.

Many supporters of the ban praised the Scouts for adhering to their “traditional values”.

Note to the Scouts: discrimination and bigotry aren’t “traditional values” to be proud of. You should, in fact, be ashamed of yourselves for your terrible treatment of vulnerable Scouts and Scoutmasters.
