Eye-opening
The Newtown massacre happened on Dec. 12, 2012, 98 days ago. How many people would you guess have been killed by gun violence during those 98 days?
It's an incredible number.
2,244.
Two-thousand, two hundred and forty-four people killed by guns, whether by their own hand, a family member, a friend, or a stranger. And Congress is apparently powerless to pass even wildly popular measures supported by a staggering 90% of Americans because of fear of the gun lobby.
