Ant-Man

We saw Ant-Man tonight and I really enjoyed it. The stakes weren't world-shattering, which was a nice step back from the recent Marvel movies, and there was a good deal of humor. Paul Rudd is great in everything he does.

I also love the careful setup for future Marvel stories and characters as well as the fun callbacks. Marvel is nearing Pixar levels of consistency.

Bring on Phase 3 of the MCU.

I know this is a weird thing to say, but I'm really losing my enthusiasm for comic book movies. I'm not finding the ability to work up the desire to see this.

No, I totally get that. There is definitely a formula to 99% of them and it's getting well used. I'm still enjoying the genre, but thinking it's bound to have a cooling off period sometime over the next few years. (And once again, DC is coming WAY too late to the party).
