Last weekend we went to see Rachel in the musical First Lady Suite. She's a senior at JMU so this will be one of her last shows there. We've had a lot of fun going to see them over the last few years and will miss it once she graduates.
First Lady Suite tells the story of four first ladies and those around them. Rachel played Lady Bird Johnson in a small part, but she got a few solo singing lines and some dialogue. She's not a musical theatre major but was allowed to audition (and got cast) because she impressed the Director of last summer's shows, Go Dog Go, and Broadway Classics: A Musical Theatre Revue. Both shows were great and Rachel had a lot of solo work.
