Kentuckians are apparently flagellants

When Obamacare finally came into full effect in 2013, Kentucky was the bright, shining star. A conservative state, it's Democratic Governor, Steve Beshear, chose the option of creating a winning state health insurance exchange, Kynect, and to expand Medicaid to Kentucky's poorest residents, at minimal cost to the state. The results have been a half million Kentuckians getting affordable health insurance and bringing tens of millions of dollars into the state, boosting the economy. Before Obamacare, 20.4% of Kentucky citizens had no health insurance; now that's down to 9%.

By any measure, Kynect and the Medicaid expansion have been a HUGE success.

Tonight, Kentucky voters elected Tea Party Republican Matt Bevin to be Kentucky's next Governor. Bevin has vowed to immediately eliminate both Kynect and the Medicaid expansion, a move that will LITERALLY kill many Kentucky citizens who will lose their access to healthcare. This will also cost the state of Kentucky hundreds of millions of dollars in lost federal funds and in costs to dismantle Kynect. This will be a huge loss in both economic and human terms. And all because it's called Obamacare.

You know what, Kentucky? Screw you. If you're so stupid, uninformed and sociopathic that you would rip healthcare away from hundreds of thousands of your neighbors, then why should I care? If you want to follow Kansas into being a conservative utopian shit-hole through conservative policies specifically designed to screw over your lower and middle classes and shift their wealth to the rich, then go for it. I'm very sorry for those families who will be significantly harmed by these immoral bastards, but I'm pretty sure that a lot of people who are going to lose their healthcare and their economic security voted for Bevin simply because he has an (R) behind his name.

Idiots.
