Fascist Attack on American Citizens

The Trump Administration has been a shitshow from day one. There was no time when it was not racist, stupid, malevolent, and terrible. There have been so many scandals it's difficult to keep track of all of them. Remember in January when Trump had a high level Iranian general assassinated? Or  just a year ago when he banned transgender troops from serving in the U.S. military? Those events seem like ancient history.

But this picture will likely be the defining image of his presidency, obtained after he ranted about turning the military on U.S. citizens, and used teargas and rubber bullets to clear out peaceful protesters. People protesting the police murder of a black man, George Floyd.

What we know now is that after Trump ran to his bunker on Friday night to hide from the scary protesters ("bunker bitch"), Hope Hicks came up with the idea of crossing the street as a show of manliness. So, on Monday evening, Attorney Fucking General Bill Barr personally ordered the police and military to clear the protesters from Lafayette Park, across from the White House, just before Trump went on TV to bluster and pretend to be a man. Luckily, no one was killed.

After the crowd was scattered, Trump, flanked by a metric crapton of security, walked across the street to hoist this Bible. How courageous.

As an American, I have to ask, what's the point he's trying to make here? What significance does the Bible have in this situation? Trump rarely attends church, doesn't give a shit about Christianity, doesn't read the Bible, and is supposed to speak for ALL Americans, even this atheist. How is this image supposed to communicate anything to me?

The ONLY people this speaks to is, I guess, his moronic base who like it because it "triggers the libs"? But if you're a Christian, how does this use of a Bible as a political prop sit with you? Shouldn't you be outraged, like the Catholic clergy whose parish this is? Does the use of violence to obtain this image actually comport with the things Christianity is supposed to represent?

Trump had the military attack United States civilians in a pathetic attempt to make himself seem tough in the face of being a bunker bitch.

Does this guy look tough?

Not shown: Someone who is brave.

And what do Republican Senators have to say about this horror?
"I'm not going to critique other people's performances," - Mitch McConnell.
"I didn't follow, I'm sorry," - Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy.
"Didn't really see it," - Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson.
"I was grateful for the President's leadership,"  - Montana Sen. Steve Daines.
Fucking profiles in courage.

I suppose if your idea of "kicking ass" is hiding in a bunker because of protesters and then sending in a bunch of troops to clear out those unarmed protesters and only venturing forth when they were gone and you are surrounded by troops, then you'd be impressed by this.

That doesn't say much for you.

How the hell can a geezer in his 70's be expected to deal with 2000 psychotic lunatics on a vengeful rampage all by his lonesome ?.
