Make DC a state

The District of Columbia should be a state.

Its 700,000+ citizens deserve to have the same rights as every other American, including representation in Congress. As a state, it would be bigger than Wyoming and Vermont. Its citizens already pay over $6.5 billion in taxes each year. If you believe in fairness and Democracy, making DC a state is a matter of justice and right.

Today, the House passed a bill to make DC a state. The vote is below. This is what happens when you elect Democrats. Of course, the Republican Senate will never pass this bill, as they fear more Democratic Senators and would rather play politics with people's rights.

But come next year, after the blue wave election, maybe justice will finally come to the American citizens who live in DC.
