Avatar Update!

Here's where I am in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Ben and I finished the original series. Just wonderful. What a tremendous accomplishment.

We watched the terrible film by M. Night S. Just awful. (I mean, you have unlimited CGI and can show all kinds of cool bending effects, and you came up with that? Lazy, unimaginative and all around disappointing. A textbook example of how to badly adapt something.)

We are in season two of The Legend of Korra and really enjoying it. We were significantly surprised by the jump forward in technology, but it really sets Korra apart from its predecessor in a good way. It's not as good as TLA (at least so far), but it's great to be back in that world. And the humor and love of character are intact.
