When someone tells you who they are . . .

Over the past six weeks or so --

147 Republican Congresspeople voted to overturn the Presidential election results, an election Joe Biden won by more than 7 million votes and 74 electoral college votes

Trump supporters engaged in an act of insurrection in an attempt to overthrow the government of the United States by violently attacking the U.S. Capitol, causing more than 5 deaths, at the instigation of the then President, Trump.

197 out 0f 207 Republican Representatives voted not to impeach Trump over his incitement of insurrection.

43 out of 50 Republican Senators voted to acquit Trump in his Senate trial for incitement of insurrection.

The state of Texas became a disaster area during a winter storm because of Republican deregulation in the energy sector and uncoupling Texas from the rest of the U.S. electrical grid. Republican officeholders lied about the cause of the power outages, blaming renewable energy sources.

The Republican ex-Mayor of Colorado City, Texas, posted the following during the disaster, in a complete abdication of the very concept of why we have a government and elect people to oversee and perform the public good:
No one owes you are your family anything; nor is it the local government's responsibility to support you during trying times like this! Sink or swim it's your choice! The City and County, along with power providers or any other service owes you NOTHING! I'm sick and tired of people looking for a damn handout! If you don't have electricity you step up and come up with a game plan to keep your family warm and safe. If you have no water you deal without and think outside of the box to survive and supply water to your family. If you are sitting at home in the cold because you have no power and are sitting there waiting for someone to come rescue you because your lazy is direct result of your raising! Only the strong will survive and the weak will parish.

Folks God has given us the tools to support ourselves in times like this. This is sadly a product of a socialist government where they feed people to believe that the FEW will work and others will become dependent for handouts. Am I sorry that you have been dealing without electricity and water; yes! But I'll be damned if I'm going to provide for anyone that is capable of doing it themselves! We have lost sight of those in need and those that take advantage of the system and meshed them in to one group!! Bottom line quit crying and looking for a handout! Get off your ass and take care of your own family!

Bottom line-DONT A PART OF PROBLEM, BE A PART OF THE SOLUTION!!
Also during the disaster, Republican Senator Ted Cruz fled the country for Cancun, Mexico, rather than fight to help Texans get water and heat. When caught, he lied about it, blaming his children.

When someone tells you who they are, believe them the first time.

AND STOP VOTING FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO KILL YOU (AND/OR OUR DEMOCRACY).

There are two parties in this country: Americans and Republicans.

Yep. Something needs to give, because a sizable number of people will continue to vote for them regardless of what they do.

I actually think its better to be neither, fence sitters have to deal with much less stress and anxiety than those who make a conscious effort to be either good people or bad people.
