American Exceptionalism

This is heartbreaking, not only because of the loss of human lives and potential, but because it doesn't have to happen. A large majority of Americans, who want gun control, are being held hostage by a very small minority of gun nuts, economic interests, and powerful conservatives who view these deaths as a means of maintaining control by fear. 

These deaths are absolutely senseless.
