Charlie Brown!

Rachel's fall musical, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, opened last night.  Rachel plays Sally Brown.

We were there, of course, and really enjoyed the show.  YAGMCB (as it's called) isn't a traditional musical with a romantic plot, but a series of Peanuts vignettes with songs.  Keeping a good pace is critical for such a show and they did a great job.  Everyone was well cast, the staging and choreography very well done and the singing was probably the best of any show I've seen at Rachel's school.

Rachel was adorable as Sally and actually invoked the cartoon character really well, which isn't easy to do.  Speaking not only as a father but as a renowned theatre critic, she was great.

There are four more shows, today at 1PM and 7PM and next Friday and Saturday at 7PM.
