McCain picks Palin!
Awesome! An amazing choice from the enfeebled one. I can't believe it. I may have to consider voting for him now. I mean, Palin's no John Cleese, but still.
I might have gone with Terry Gilliam myself, because he has more experience, but Palin isn't the worst choice McCain could have made.
In all seriousness, I have said all along that if Obama didn't pick a woman, McCain would. I was hoping he'd pick someone like Kay Bailey Hutchison, who didn't undermine the whole "Obama-is-inexperienced" meme they've been having such good experience with thusfar, but there you are.
Conservative pro-lifer or not, she'll pull in at least a portion of the women who were voting for Hillary purely on the basis of gender. (Which I think is as absurd as voting for someone because they're black, but I'm just a poor benighted Republican ignorant of the politics of gender and race victimization.)
