Condolences and Recriminations

There was sad news this week as Vice President Joe Biden's mother passed away at the age of 92. Catherine Eugenia "Jean" Finnegan Biden died Friday at the family's home.

Republicans were quick to pounce on the Vice President, stating that his Mom's death "weakens America and emboldens the terrorists." "Al Qaeda is having a party right now," said House Minority Whip Eric Cantor. "This type of appeasement jeapordizes American troops."

"Mothers are the cornerstone of American strength," said House Minority Leader and front man for the off-Broadway smash, the "Orange-Man Group" John Boehner. "By allowing the Vice-President's mother to pass away, the Obama Administration has demonstrated once again how ineffective they are and handed the terrorists another victory against our way of life."

"I should mention that President Bush's mother made it through all eight years of his administration," he added. "That's the kind of leadership America needs right now."
