Last weekend was the opening of Rachel’s sophomore high school musical, The Wedding Singer. Per our usual practice, we attended both shows (Friday and Saturday night).
Of the five shows she’s been in, I think this one was the strongest right out of the gate. The kids were energized, the audience picked up the energy and returned it, and a fun time was had by all. The choreography was clever and well-performed and the singing as strong as ever. Significantly, they finally cleaned up the sound problems that have plagued past shows.
Rachel plays one of the “villains” of the show and performs two solos. She has a tremendous voice and can really rock it out. I think she’s going places. :-)
We’ll be there again this weekend for the last two shows.
