A bird can fly 32,000 feet high?!?

This is really fascinating.

Infographic: Highest mountain to deepest ocean trench.

Check it out. Notice how deep the Deepwater Horizon goes and understand a bit of the problem in the Gulf.

Thanks to PZ.

Cool graphic. I’m a little behind in reading Pharyngula. Btw, a Rüppell’s vulture was sucked into the engine of a jet flying at 11,300 meters (37,000 feet) in 1975. And bar-headed geese regularly fly at 10,000 meters (33,000 feet) as they migrate over the Himalayas.
