The End of the Blackout

Here I am, four weeks later.  In a way, I feel like I've traveled through time.  News of the world was, more or less, suspended for me four weeks ago.  Tomorrow I'll see what man has wrought.

I doubt I'll be happy.

The last four weeks were pretty restful and less frustrating than usual.  Of course, as a federal worker I'm aware of the potential for a government shutdown next week as the agency is making plans in the event it comes to pass.  They obviously need the managers to have some idea what's happening so I've been briefed.  The sheer stupidity of anyone provoking a federal shutdown (as if it would solve anything) has been pretty frustrating.

But all in all, I'd say the last four weeks were a success as far as I'm concerned.  I've been better able to focus on projects, both around the home and at work, less stressed, I've read more, finishing two Philip K. Dick novels and Ten Days that Shook the World on the bus and Metro, and I've gained some new perspectives.

Tomorrow, after I peruse the news, I'll post my reactions.

In a story I am reading, which I mentioned to you, mankind has suddenly gotten much smarter, due to some change in the electromagnetic field. Maybe since your news blackout, that has really happened and even the Tea Partiers have an IQ in triple digits.

Nah!

No update tonight. I assume this is because you read the news and your head exploded.
