Well, I'm on Day 10 without news.
I've adjusted pretty well to not checking news sites while on the bus and not reading the newspaper on the Metro. I've gotten a lot of reading done which is cool. I still occasionally hit the CNN.COM link the instant the web browser loads, but immediately close the app as soon as I realize what I've done.
The weird thing is that there isn't a whole lot for me to do on the Internet without news sites. Almost all of the links on my browser navigation bar are news-related, so no clicking there. When I need to take a break I do some historical research, usually on Wikipedia. I also shop a lot on Amazon.
I don't have a real sense of what's happening worldwide right now, but I do sense that problems aren't getting solved. So get on it, people! I want only good news when I get back on the news grid on March 1! Is that too much to ask?

The world ended while you were out of the loop. But don't worry, we're hard at work starting it up again!
