- A few weeks ago we saw the Kensington Arts Theatre's production of Jekyll and Hyde. Rachel's boyfriend, Tim, was in the chorus. It was a well-performed show (you should have seen it) but was more memorable for the stage-fog setting off the smoke alarms during the first song of the second act, resulting in a second 45 minute "intermission" while we waited for the fire department to arrive and then figure out how to turn off the alarms. We won't be forgetting that show for a while!
- A couple of weeks later, our 16 year old car died in the middle of an intersection as Carol was going to pick Rachel up from work. I had to leave gaming at some friends' house to pick up Rachel, get the car out of the intersection and wait for the tow truck with Carol. The car needed a new alternator, so we had to invest another $700 into it. Oy.
- Saw Thor and X Men First Class at the movies. Enjoyed both. Marvel has definitely figured out a consistent formula for producing good comic book movies.
- Note to Carol: Wolverine was not played by John Cusack.
- I was a bad boy to my cast iron grill cooking grids over the winter. They were put away in the garage with some rust so that when I took them out a month ago, they were falling apart. I was going to just buy new grids but the cost would have been over $100 so Carol made me fix them. Over a couple of weeks I scrubbed all the rust off, soaked them in vinegar to get more rust off, and then seasoned them (soaked them in vegetable oil and then cooked the oil onto the grids) about ten times. They look fabulous! Sorry, grids, I won't neglect you again.
- I have a really nice game room in the basement and I love spending time down there. But I love it best when it's fulfilling its function, filled with lots of people playing games.

Catching Up
Been a bit busy lately so my blogging output has pretty much been limited to hit and run attacks on stupidity. So, here's a bit of a catch-up post.
