Ask yourself

If you support the Republicans ask yourself the following question and answer truthfully.  Assume that you have the following Republicans under a compulsion to tell the absolute truth (hahahahahahahahaha! I slay me).  Okay, since we're talking fictional occurrences, let's just say they've taken Veritaserum.

How do you think John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Mitch McConnell or pretty much any Republican Congressman would answer this question:
YOU'VE BEEN GIVEN THE POWER TO WAVE A MAGIC WAND AND IMMEDIATELY REDUCE THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE TO 5% AND GET THE ECONOMY GROWING BY 4% PER QUARTER.  WOULD YOU DO IT?
How would they answer?  Any American would say "yes", right?  They'd say fantastic, that would solve our economic problems.  Millions would be employed, tax revenue would be through the roof and millions who are suffering would be relieved.

But would any Republican Congressman truthfully answer "yes" to that question?

In case you need a hint, here's what one of their aides said the other day when asked about Obama's job plan.
“Obama is on the ropes; why do we appear ready to hand him a win?” said one senior House Republican aide who requested anonymity to discuss the matter freely.
Because the current Republican congress isn't about what's doing right for the American people. It's not about helping those who are suffering. It's all about defeating Obama. They've said so, they've acted so, and they continue to act so.

Why would you vote for anyone who's doing that?
