A little perspective on the financial sector

If you're an American, you may remember that a few years ago we had a bit of a financial meltdown caused by the banking industry and financial institutions that put us into a huge recession which is still ongoing.  Congress passed regulations intending to stop the abuses that lead to the meltdown but the Republicans in Congress refuse to appoint the head of the agency created to enforce those regulations and have been trying to gut the regulations themselves.

In case you were worried that the financial industry was still hurting, let's put your mind at ease.

You'll notice that those who caused the Great Recession are now doing better than they were doing before they tanked the economy.
