A proud day in Maryland, but a fight ahead
Today, March 1, 2012, Maryland joined a small number of states by extending marriage equality to all its citizens. I am proud to be part of that.
Already, however, the forces of intolerance are pushing petitions to put the civil rights of their neighbors on the November ballot. I will not sign such a petition; it is an abomination. You don't put minority rights to a popular vote.
Keep me proud, Maryland.
