The modern Republican party is all about Union-hating. But that wasn't always the case.
This sign recognizes several absolute economic truths that Republicans have abandoned in favor of the fantasy that the free market always makes the right decisions and that tax cuts always help everyone. Some of the truths they've forgotten include the ideas that higher take-home pay for workers, good working conditions and greater job security are good for the economy. The sign also shows some love for social security. Modern Republicans have spat on all these ideas.
Given today's Republican party, the sign above seems like a parody.
