The Real Manchurian Candidate

Russian President Vladimir Putin is a very bad guy, one step away from being a dictator. He rules Russia with violence and corruption, ordered the invasion of Ukraine to annex the Crimea, has jailed opponents, activists, and journalists, and supports Assad's murderous regime in Syria.

Remember when Republicans hated Russia? Yeah, so do I. Those days are gone.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s net favorable rating among Republicans has climbed by an astonishing 56 percentage points since July 2014, according to a new YouGov/Economist poll.  Link

Well, now they have even more reason to love him.

U.S. intelligence officials now believe with "a high level of confidence" that Russian President Vladimir Putin became personally involved in the covert Russian campaign to interfere in the U.S. presidential election, senior U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News.

Two senior officials with direct access to the information say new intelligence shows that Putin personally directed how hacked material from Democrats was leaked and otherwise used. The intelligence came from diplomatic sources and spies working for U.S. allies, the officials said.  Link

The election was a farce and the result determined by one of America's enemies. All Americans should be appalled and horrified and we should invalidate the results.

But that won't happen. Because Republicans value winning and imposing their will on the American people more than they value the United States.
