I have a strong opinion too!

The California wildfires have claimed hundreds of lives, and the recent Camp fire which destroyed the town of Paradise is adding potentially hundreds more fatalities to that total.

Make no mistake, climate change directly contributes to the frequency and severity of these fires. How? Warmer temperatures and shifting weather patterns make for more severe and longer lasting droughts. Longer droughts mean more dry forests and brush, which means fires burn faster and are harder to control. The wildfires in California have been super-charged by climate change.

But no need to worry. Our President has the whole thing under control.

After touring the devastation, Trump was asked whether or not it had changed his position on climate change. Let the wisdom wash over you.
“No, no I have a strong opinion. I want a great climate. We’re going to have that, and we are going to have that are very safe because we can’t go through this. Every year we go through this. We’re going to have safe forests and that’s happening as we speak,” he told reporters during a briefing at a command center in Chico, California.
See? He has a "strong opinion" and wants a great climate! And safe forests are happening as we speak.

Whew. And I was worried.
