Remember how one of the (many) stupid Republican defenses of Trump during the Impeachment trial was that he really cares deeply about stopping corruption? Yeah, it was really stupid.

And to prove how much he cares about stopping corruption, today Trump pardoned or commuted the sentences of the following SUPER CORRUPT (but famous and/or rich) people.

• Millionaire NFL owner (Edward DeBartolo) who committed perjury in an extortion scheme.
• Corrupt politician (Rod Blagojevich) who engaged in fraud, bribery, and perjury.
• Corrupt former cop (Bernard Kerik) who took a bribe and then committed tax fraud and perjury.
• Billionaire junk-bond king (Michael Milken) who committed securities fraud and insider trading.
• Republican lobbyist (David Safavian) who obstructed justice and committed perjury in a corruption trial.

So long as you're Trump's "friend" or "friend-adjacent", you can commit all the corruption you want and Trump will have your back.

He definitely cares about corruption -- just not stopping it.
