Ugh. The hundreds of millions of dollars Presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg is spending on ads have finally reached my ears. I can't imagine what it's been like in states like Nevada and South Carolina where he's spending most of his money.
Bloomberg is polling high simply because he's spending so much money. He has a few issue overlaps with Democratic voters, but he's another out-of-touch rich guy who's trying to buy his way to the Presidency.
We already have one of those and he's a horrific disaster.
Bloomberg won't be as bad, by any measure, and would be infinitely better than the current asshole. But dammit, we don't need two rich guys in a row buying the Presidency. That's not how any of this is supposed to work.
Democrats, don't fall for this. Vote anyone else in the primary but Bloomberg. Let's nominate a candidate who wins because they have the support of the people, not the money.
It’s a shame Mike Bloomberg can buy his way into the debate. But at least now primary voters curious about how each candidate will take on Donald Trump can get a live demonstration of how we each take on an egomaniac billionaire. https://t.co/H02radEZcv— Elizabeth Warren (@ewarren) February 18, 2020
Okay, maybe I don't feel so bad now.
