The U.S. "Space Force", the rebranding imposed by Trump on the Air Force Space Command, issued a poster(?) the other day.
People have already rightly made fun of the name "Space Force" but now Space Force has announced that Space Force personnel will be called "Guardians". Because, why?
What actually bothers me about all this, though, is the slogan above "Guardians".
Heritage - Mission - Culture
What the actual fuck is that supposed to mean? Seriously, it sounds like a right-wing militia or Confederate organization's slogan. I get Mission, but Heritage and Culture are buzz-words used extensively by White Supremacy groups. What heritage and culture are they referencing here?
Plus, there seems to be a missile launching from Earth on the left of the poster. Again, what the fuck? Is this depicting a nuclear strike or a military escalation into low-Earth orbit? Yay U-S-A?
In short, this thing is majorly stupid and ill-considered, which is on par for the Trump Administration. The End.
