Faux Outrage

Despite their "outrage" at Rep. Todd Akin's remark on rape and abortion, the Republican Party today announced that the draft of the official 2012 Republican platform calls for a Constitutional Amendment banning abortion with no exception for rape.

As I said yesterday, Todd Akin's position is the official position of the Republican Party.  The outrage they've expressed is only because saying these things out loud hurts some Republicans chances of being elected.
