Excellent movie. Well-acted, the music was great and the production elements first rate. What a time to be a moviemaker when you can create a vast, realistic 19th century London in all its filthy, glorious detail.
If you're squeamish though, this may not be for you. It's rated R for "violence and gore" and they mean it. There's bathtubs full of blood squirting every which way and graphic throat-slitting throughout. Be warned.
If you can stomach the violence and gore, Sweeney Todd is highly recommended.
