The Trump administration announced on Monday the creation of a $1.8 billion fund to compensate those who claim they were targeted by the Biden Justice Department and Democrats, forging a pipeline to funnel taxpayer money to President Trump’s allies.

The fund was announced shortly after Mr. Trump withdrew his lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service demanding at least $10 billion in damages for the unauthorized disclosure of his tax information.

Commit ACTUAL treason and sedition against the United States by trying to steal an election and murder Congress, killing police in the process, and get pardoned and rewarded by the most corrupt (and stupid) President in US history.

Endgame

An increasingly demented and deranged Trump made a terrible threat today against millions of innocents in Iran.

“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will,”

Any way you slice it, threat or just an attempt at coercion, it's a pretty fucked up thing for the President of the United States to say. Since neither Trump's Cabinet and Vice President or Congressional Republicans will act to stop him, the last chapter of the human race may start tonight if he nukes Iran. If he does something less, it will still likely be a war crime.

Of course, it is Tuesday, so we do have some hope that Trump will TACO* tonight.

But Trump's mercurial mood isn't something I'd ever choose to rely on.

Trump wants to give Charlie Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom and Congress is talking about putting a statue of him in the Capitol. Other MAGA are comparing Charlie to the victims of 09/11. 

Even worse, the guy who is most effectively calling Trump on his bullshit, California Governor Gavin Newsom wrote:

In Kirk’s eyes, Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first Black woman to serve on the court, was an “unqualified” nominee and the “recipient of affirmative action.”

Following flooding in Texas in July, Kirk said the “death toll likely would not have been as high if it wasn't for DEI [diversity, equity, and inclusion].”

Kirk repeatedly pushed anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric, with a specific focus on opposing transgender existence.

During a discussion of gay rights in 2024, Kirk referenced the Bible and noted that passages indicating “lay with another man and be stoned to death” were “God’s perfect law when it comes to sexual matters.”

There's been a lot of news coverage lately, excluding today's news that Former President Joe Biden has prostate cancer, about Joe Biden being old. Jake Tapper came out with a new book where he talks about how Biden's staff told him that they were considering that Biden use a wheelchair if he had won a second term. There was also news about Biden not recognizing George Clooney and other "stunning" revelations about a guy who is NO LONGER PRESIDENT.

Meanwhile, the current President is an outright fascist who apparently understands NOTHING about how the government, America, or its people work and who has exhibited advanced dementia for months now. The same guy that put a bunch of rich con men and grifters into positions of power and who constantly violates civil rights, the law and the Constitution. The corrupt, stupid guy who's steering us right into an  economic depression.

Burdensome safety regs

WTF?  Seriously, what the fuck?

Convicted Felon Trump's VP pick, the delightful and wonderful J.D. Vance, said this in a March 2023, Senate Commerce Committee meeting.

One thing that I really worry about, and I think both Democrats and Republicans should worry about, is we have some real demographic problems in our country. American families aren’t having enough children. I think there’s evidence that some of the things that we’re doing to parents is driving down the number of children that American families are having.

In particular, there’s evidence that the car seat rules that we’ve imposed—which of course, I want kids to drive in car seats—have driven down the number of babies born in this country by over 100,000.

So as we think about how to make kids safe here, I think we should do it in a way that’s accommodating to American families and I encourage your organization to do that.

First, we don't have a demographic problem in our country. What he means is that we have too many icky minorities and white families should have more children to Keep America White. 

Then, there's the creepy fixation on women having babies. We don't need more and more Americans, and if we do, how about granting citizenship to the millions of people trying to find a safe and free place to live? We're not competing with other countries to "have the most babies," you weirdo.

Finally, there's the idea that protecting existing children is somehow preventing non-existent children from being born. As in, we weren't going to have a second child, but since our first was killed in car accident while not in a car seat, we've decided to have another? What "evidence" is there for that?

The fixation among Republicans to make sure that babies are born by preventing abortion, and IVF and contraception if the Felon is reelected, but totally ignoring the children that result by attacking programs and laws that protect and feed children, is all about controlling women. They don't give a damn about children. If they did, they wouldn't say shit like this.

Florida's Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis announced today that he is supporting State Senator Ileana Garcia's bill SB 1740 to create a "Florida Freedom Fighter's Fund" to provide millions of dollars to fund Trump's criminal defense legal team. 

One day after Ron Desantis drops out of the presidential race, the push is on to use state resources and funding to finance a private citizen's legal defense in criminal cases. While tens of thousands of indigent Floridians are represented by Public Defenders with massive caseloads due to limited budgets, Florida's CFO wants the state to provide millions to Trump, who testified recently that his net worth is in excess of $10 billion and that his Florida home is the most expensive in the world.

Yes, the state of Florida is likely to use TAXPAYER money to fund Trump's (a supposed BILLIONAIRE) legal fees for all manner of criminal conduct, including an attempt to OVERTHROW THE U.S. GOVERNMENT.

Meanwhile, Florida ranks third in the country for the number of homeless, at around 30,000. Oh, and large chunks of the state are going to be underwater within a few decades.

These people are psychotic.

Racist assholes kidnap young children

This is an absolute nightmare for any parent.

Democratic lawmakers in Tennessee are demanding that the Department of Child Services return the five children they took from a Black Georgia family traveling through the state back in February after the parents were told in a juvenile court hearing on Monday that the state would not be returning them for the time being. The children — a breast-feeding infant and 2-, 3-, 5- and 7-year-old kids — have been in state custody for over a month ever since their parents were charged with misdemeanor possession of five grams of marijuana and a blunt.

On February 17, Bianca Clayborne and Deonte Williams were traveling with their five children from Georgia to Chicago for a funeral when they were pulled over in Tennessee by a police officer for “dark tint and traveling in the left lane while not actively passing."

Wanting to be safe, in light of the way traffic stops often go for Black people, they pulled into a gas station parking lot rather than on the side of the road. Immediately, the cops demanded Williams get out of the car and go sit in the back of the police cruiser, while Claybourne and their children were escorted into the gas station while the cops tore through their vehicle, even bringing around "drug sniffing dogs" to smell all of their bags and possessions the cops had taken out of the car ... which cannot possibly be the usual protocol for pulling people over for "traveling in the left lane while not actively passing." Okay, clearly we mean cannot as in must not, because unfortunately it very much is.

God damn that's some messed up, racist shit. I can't even imagine the pain those parents must be suffering. Pulled over for "dark tint [presumably windows but we know what they really meant] and traveling in the left lane while not actively passing,"??? How do these asshole cops sleep at night after putting a family through this.

I guess the family can be happy that the cops didn't murder them all for looking at them funny.

I hope this family sues the state of Tennessee for millions and take them to the cleaners.

We've crossed another line

Let's make sure everyone understands the bottom line here.

The attack on Paul Pelosi, husband of Nancy Pelosi, was an attempted assassination attempt on the Speaker of the House.  

A Republican loony, spurred on by FOX News, Q-Anon, and actual Republican leaders, including Trump, attempted an assassination on the person second in line to the U.S. Presidency. 

Republican reactions have been everywhere from muted condemnation to joking to blaming President Biden to just ignoring the incident. I'm SURE some are disappointed he didn't succeed.

Imagine if this had actually happened to Mike Pence. Oh, wait. Imagine if this had happened to someone Republicans cared about like Greg Abbott or Ron DeSantis.

One of the two major political parties in the United States has gone fascist, anti-democracy, and imspires and supports violence against their political enemies. They must be stopped. Vote for Democrats like your life depends on it because it does.
