I was wrong

I admit it. I've been wrong about President Bush.

He is not a heartless, anti-intellectual monster who has sent thousands of Americans to their deaths to further his bankrupt neo-con philosophy, ignoring the will of the American people, shredding the Constitution, fiddling while America burns.

He has SACRIFICED during this war. Indeed, he has made the ultimate sacrifice, far more meaningful than those families who have seen loved ones sent to Iraq and Afghanistan.

He's given up golf.
“I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf,” he said. “I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal.”
There are tears in my eyes as I contemplate the enormity of his sacrifice.

But at least he still allows himself to have some fun . . .

Solidarity with the Families

The Dignity of a President

The Wrong Signal
