Illegitimate President appoints an illegitimate Supreme Court Justice

On Friday, the Republican party successfully put their party before the country, and the wishes of the majority of citizens of the country, by stealing a Supreme Court seat and installing right-wing ideologue Neil Gorsuch as an Associate Justice.

To say the Republicans were hypocritical in their treatment of Obama's nominee, Merrick Garland, and in destroying the traditional Senate filibuster to install Gorsuch is an understatement. What they have done is underhanded, dictatorial and profoundly unamerican,

Some in the news are hailing this as a victory for Trump. Right. All he had to do is name a name and let the Republican Senate shred the rules to get that name on the bench. Some victory.  He really worked hard for it.

Unfortunately, for the rest of us, this portends more years under regressive, wrong-headed, conservative control.
