See that counter over on the right? Trump has been "President" for 1,000 days.
Let's see where we are, shall we?
- Trump is currently undergoing impeachment by the House, and has ordered the Executive Branch not to cooperate, in contradiction to the Constitution and the law. Fortunately for democracy, people are starting to ignore him.
- Yesterday, he made childish insults to the Speaker of the House and then got PWNED by her as he tried to make himself look good by posting a picture that made her look like a badass and him look like a chump.
- A few days ago, on a whim and at the direction of an autocrat, Trump withdrew our troops in Northern Syria, leaving our longstanding, loyal allies, the Kurds, to their doom at the hands of Turkey.
- Faced with almost universal condemnation for the betrayal, he sent the following letter to Erdogan of Turkey. Yes, this is an official letter from our President, who is apparently in grade school.
- Dear Mr. President:
- See the woman below? She's the Kurdish politician, Hevrin Khalaf, the Future Syria Party’s secretary-general. When Turkey invaded, she was pulled from her car and executed by Turkish special forces. Without Trump's betrayal, she'd still be alive.
Let’s work out a good deal! You don’t want to be responsible for slaughtering thousands of people, and I don’t want to be responsible for destroying the Turkish economy—and I will. I’ve already given you a little sample with respect to Pastor Brunson.
I have worked hard to resolve some of your problems. Don’t let the world down. You can make a great deal. General Mazloum is willing to negotiate with you, and he is willing to make concessions that they never would have made in the past. I am confidentially enclosing his letter to me, just received.
History will look upon you favorably if you get this the right and humane way. It will look upon you forever as the devil if good things don’t happen. Don’t be a tough guy. Don’t be a fool!
I will call you later.
- Over the last week, Trump lost at least FIVE court cases against his unlawful policies.
- His Chief of Staff, Mick Mulvaney, today admitted to a room full of press that Trump and many of his aides committed crimes involving strong-arming one of our allies to help Trump politically. Mulvaney's reaction to admitting crimes? "Get over it".
- On Tuesday, Trump had a British couple to the White House to express his condolences over the death of their teenage son. Their son was killed by the wife of an American diplomat who was driving on the wrong side of the road, and then fled England. Trump was apparently gracious to the English couple, and then tried to bring in the woman who had killed their son so they could shake hands and make up, giving Trump a nice photo op. The couple was horrified and refused to meet with the woman.
- And today, the White House announced that tens of millions of tax dollars will go into Trump's own pockets as the White House has selected Trump's Doral Resort to host the next G-7 conference, in another blatant violation of the emoluments clause.
This was all in ONE WEEK. The good news is that Trump may not survive another 100 days. Lord knows we won't survive another 1,000 with him in charge.

I still genuinely believe that Donald Trump is THE BEST president we`ve EVER HAD, i think people who trash him are masochists who enjoy biting the hand that feeds them!. I also think the title of this post should`ve been "1,000 Days (of gold)" ! ! !.
Wow. I've been spoofed! Time to delete those!
President Trumplethinskin is dangerous and needs to be removed! Anyone not being able to see that is either blind or foolish or both!
And yes that same person tried to take over my comment section and I had to change my setting so they couldn't use anonymous names.
Yeah, I just don't get the support.
Thanks for the info on that guy. He needs a better hobby. :-)
